ISO CONTAINER CORNERS

ISO container corners are installed on all shipping containers. They are the structural elements used to lift, move, and secure shipping containers. On ships, trains, or road vehicles. They are also where shipping containers can be connected to each other, as is the case with container stacks on a container ship.

A container has eight ISO container corners:

• 4 upper corners which are necessary for handling the container by a spreader (lifting beam of port cranes)
• 4 lower corners necessary for securing the container on all types of support, train, boat and truck.

• Upper corner or intermediate piece (with hook or shackle) 195 kN
• Lower corner or intermediate piece: sling at an angle of 30° with the horizontal 390 kN
